Love Affair Fine Arts Festival

Tifton's premier regional annual festival, the Love Affair Fine Arts Festival is held every first Saturday in May. See spectacular live musical, dance and stage performances held in Tifton's beautiful Fulwood Park and our quaint, historic downtown area.

Hosted by the Tifton-Tift County Arts Council, the Love Affair is a four-day cultural extravaganza for people of all ages and from all walks of life. Shop in the Fine Arts & Crafts outdoor galleries. Clap along with your youngsters to a live performance just for them. Stand back as kids gets creative in the hands-on arts and crafts corner. Gorge yourself on yummy sweet treats, down home barbeque, ethnic specialties, and other fun festival foods. Be sure to enjoy the Friday night Concert & Picnic Under the Stars featuring a different popular musical group each year.

Love Affair weekend is the perfect time to spend a few nights and days to get to know Tifton. Celebrate spring Tifton style!

Hometown Holiday Celebration

Tifton's festivities start early with our favorite Hometown Holiday Celebration. Local volunteers, businesses, and arts groups come together to bring us all the merriment of the season. Concerts, a parade, holiday exhibits, food, a tour of homes, kids play stations, dance performances, and a special headlining act are all part of this lively downtown gala. Don't forget to have breakfast with Santa, visit his favorite reindeer, and play in the real snow!

La Fiesta Del Pueblo

¡Hola! La Fiesta del Pueblo is a September event honoring the heritage of Tifton's Latin-American community. Dance to the rhythm of live musical performances or see Tifton's own Latino/Hispanic dance troupe, Sabor Latino. Satisfy your taste buds with a variety of authentically ethnic delectables. Tifton's Fulwood Park comes alive for a Saturday of fun and culture to celebrate Dia de la Mujer Latina.

Appearances by groups providing special services to adults and children make La Fiesta del Pueblo truly distinctive. They include the Mexican Consulate, Girl Scouts of Southeast Georgia, migrant education advocates, and a dental van.

Arts in Black

Exploring and honoring African and African-American heritage defines Tifton's Arts in Black festival. It is a March celebration of music, dance, food, and crafts. Festival favorites include dramatic storytelling performances, a creative poetry competition, and fun educational activities for the kids. Workshops and a health fair round out the event by providing special services and information to those in Tifton's black community.

Come enjoy Tifton's Fulwood Park and historic downtown during the blooming season and expand your cultural horizons ... come to Arts in Black.

Georgia Agrirama Special Events

Step back in time to an 1870-1910 working farmstead ... visit the Georgia Agrirama Living History Museum. A scenic and relaxing day-tripper spot, the Agrirama holds several hometown family festivals throughout the year. Join costumed interpreters for the Folk Life Festival, July 4th Celebration, Halloween Carnival, Victorian Christmas, and other exciting special events.

Tifton welcomes the addition of the Georgia Agrirama Education Center — an architecturally impressive facility that houses a museum of Southern agricultural artifacts, meeting rooms, a reception hall, and Agrirama Country Store.

Munch on homemade tea cakes, pet the piggies, then sit back on the steam engine train as we show you how life used to be down on the farm.

Also, the Agrirama offers overnight, full-service recreational vehicle facilities!

Tifton Truck & Tractor Pull

Cut loose and get down and dirty at the Fall and Spring Truck & Tractor Pull. Watch two- and four-wheel trucks from Dodge, Ford, Chevrolet, and GMC battle for the best distance. Farm tractors and super stock tractors spin tires up to 100 miles per hour in pulling competition.

Held at the American Legion Fairgrounds in Tifton, this is the place to perfect your "rebel yell" and root for your favorite truck or tractor. The Tifton Truck & Tractor Pull is a fun-filled family event coordinated by the Ag Equipment Technology Club at Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.

Miss Georgia Forestry Pageant

Gaze upon southern belles from across Georgia as they vie for the title of Miss Georgia Forestry Queen. Sponsored by the Georgia Forestry Commission, this state competition awards scholarships and prizes to winners in several age categories. Georgia Forestry Queens promote and protect Georgia's number one industry, forestry.

The Tifton-Tift County Arts Council is dedicated to creating an environment in which the arts can thrive and be available, affordable and accessible in South Georgia to people of all ages and from all walks of life. The Council brings new and unique forms of culture to this region to continue the tradition of spreading the joy of the arts to those around us.
