Local Weather

Located in the heart of South Georgia, Tifton experiences warm weather almost year-round. Average temperatures in the hottest month of July reach highs of around 90 degrees and lows of around 71 degrees. Average temperatures in the coolest month of January reach highs of around 59 degrees and lows of around 38 degrees. While the greatest amount of rainfall typically comes in January, Tifton can have anywhere from 2½ to 5½ inches of rain each month. Heavy rains come in the form of frequent thunderstorms during the late summer months.

Directions

Tifton-Tift County is conveniently located along Interstate 75 at exits 59 through 64. We are accessible by travelers from any direction. The city serves as a connection point for several major routes including US Highway 41, US Highway 319, and US Highway 82.
